SUMMER 09/10 TRAINING DATES
Key dates:
· Thursday 24 Sep 09- First senior training from 4-30 pm until dark. New players to the club in particular should attend in order for the coaches to consider grading
· Try Baseball day at Adcock Park, West Gosford, Sunday 27 Sep from 9 am. Please ensure you inform them that you are playing for the Rebels
· Monday 28 Sep 09- First junior training from 4-30 pm until dark.
· Saturday 10 Oct- Senior competition likely to start
· Junior trial games- Tuesday 6th/ 13th and Wednesday 7th/ 14th (during school holidays). Details to be confirmed
Fees for the season:
To cover rising costs there has been a small increase in fees. Payment can be made by cash or cheque on the registration days or by direct deposit to our Commonwealth Bank account: Mingara Rebels Baseball Club

With the Finals only 2 weeks away, we are starting to finalise presentations and trophies. So it would be great if everyone could please pay up their fees as soon as possible.

We need your Help!
As some of you may be aware, Vicki Turner beautiful wife of one of our regulars players Wayne, was diagnosed with with Multiple Myeloma around Christmas 2006. She due to have Chemo in March this year and our thoughts and best wishes are with her and her family throughout this time.
Vicki and Wayne have volunteered their time to organise a Trivia Night Fundraiser for the Myeloma Foundation. They provide Care nurses who help and support patients and their families who suffer from this disease like Vicki.
The purpose of the letter is to ask all our players and their families to come along and support this wonderful cause. If you can get together a table that would be great if not just let us know and we will put you with other members from our club if we can.
THE DETAILS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Diggers at The Entrance March 21st 2009
Doors open from 7pm with the trivia to start from 7.30
Cost $20 per head with tables of 8-10 people, with some nibblies to be served
Aiming for 15 tables so get in early!!

Rebels Night at the Dogs!
On tuesday 20th January we will be hosting " REBELS AT THE RACES" at Gosford Showground. This will be the last one of the Season so don't miss out!
We have over 100 junior & 60 seniors players registered so we should have a good crowd. The Junior season has not started, there is no training, the kids are on holidays and it will be a warm summers night, so there should be no excuse for players, family and friends not to come along. All money raised goes to the club, which we use to buy new uniforms, equipment and subsidise fees.
Tickets are only $5.00 per adult with kids under 16 free. Tickets will be on sale through members of the committee or the canteen at our next home game on Saturday 17th January or there will be someone in the greyhounds carpark before the races with a rebels hat selling tickets.
As an added novelty you can sponsor a race for a small donation. If you are interested contact Craig Booth,Darrell Duncan or email us at mingararebels@yahoo.com.au .
