REBELS ON A BREAK

Rebels have been on a break over the past 2 weeks due to school holidays and rep carnivals.
15 of our players made the Central Coast Teams who played in the Coasties Cup at Gosford on the 6/7 to 8/7 were the U10's team perform brillianty finishing 2 Overall. They then backed up that perfomance by going 1 beter when they traveled to Tamworth to compete in the Tamworth Regonal Games. The team took out the championship without loosing a game congratulations to the team and coaching staff

Rebels AGM is this Monday 16/7/07 at 730pm at The Mingara Recreation Club in The Tasman Room. All are welcome to come and get involved how you baseball club is run.

Rebels Under 14's 1 July 2007

The U14's had their first loss for the season going down 7 to 3 to Lions Gold. Even though the boys tried hard with some fine pitching by Danny Smith, batting by Steve Hughes and fielding by Michael Peterson they were out played by the better side on the day. Big thanks to all the players and families who played and stayed to watch in pretty ordinary conditions ( 100 kmh winds and -20c temp). We showed some signs of the Team we are but just couldn't put it together in consecutive innings, its the first game back after a 3 week layoff due to wet weather and it showed.

Rebels under 12's 1 July 2007

The U12's remain undefeated with another outstanding win over the Lions 10 to 1. Coach Evatt was so please with the result he was lost for words Fantastic was all I could get from the coach. Some great pitching from Jackson McAlpine and batting from Matt Gardener with 2 hits and Cody Hansen with a Triple. But the play of the day goes to Courtney Tippett with a double play to finish the game and with a strong batting performance was also named man of the match.

Rebels U10's are on top of the comp with another close win over Dodgers. Both teams played extremely well in a high scoring game 27 to 24 said coach Peterson of the Rebels. My team is really starting to play good baseball with none better than man of the match Jake Glover with some excellent batting and Fielding.

Another great day at the ball park.
The Rebels U8's showed why they are the team to beat with some fine performances with the bat by Aaron Griffiths and Belle Hanna. Coach Booth said she is very impressed with how the players are performing and learning the fundamentals of baseball.
