U/14's Joint Premiers

After a very strong year our U/14's have been named joint premiers with the Lions Gold due to numerous unsuccessful attempts to play a Grand Final. The team finished the regular season joint competition leaders. Coach Craig Booth was very pleased with the improvement of the the new players and how well they bonded with the seasoned campaigners.
Special thanks to our scorer Becc Bowden for giving up her time to support the team.
Rebels Representatives

Just a quick acknowledgement to all our Rebels Junior players that made the Central Coast Representative Teams for 2007.
U/10's: Jake Glover, Luke Peterson, Rhys and Steven Hansen.

U/14's: Joshua Tippett, Steven Hughes, Jake Phelps, Michael Peterson, Reece and Danny Smith.
U/16's: Kurt Eden and Jackson Smith
Also special mention to the following boys for making the NSW Country Train on Squads for their respective ages: Steven Hughes, Jake Phelps, Josh Tippett, Danny Smith, Kurt Eden and Jackson Smith.
Rebels U/12's Minor Premiers/Premiers

After many weeks of delay the under 12's finally got to play the Grand Final at Adelaide St on Saturday 22nd September against the Dodgers, after remaining undefeated all year they kept that streak alive to be 2007 Winter Premiers.
After a slow start the Rebels hung on to a 1 - 0 lead after 2 innings. The dodgers had a forced pitching change and that's when the kids started to string some big hits together. Matt had a big hit to centre field, Kyle hit a 2 bagger thru the cones and steady base hits from the rest of the team kept the scoreboard ticking over. Great pitching from Kyle and Brooke kept the Dodgers scoreless. In the last dig Jacko's smart thinking turned a 2 base hit into a home run from putting pressure on the fielders. The final score was 10 - 0 with Kyle winning MVP for the Grand Final.
A great effort all round to all the kids. Special mention to Coach Sam Evatt, Assistant Coach Sue Smart and Scorer Ros Evatt.

Rebels Through To The Grand Final
The Rebels U12's and u14's are both through to the Winter Baseball Grand Finals
U12's played Lions Black in the Final were they proved to be to strong with a excellent performance by all players. The batting depth of the Rebels proved to be to strong for the Lions with the Rebels scoring 6 runs in the 1st innings and 3 more in the 3rd to take the win 9 to 3.
U14's played Dodgers in a close game 6 to 3, starting pitcher for the Rebels Danny Smith had a top game digging deep when under pressure to throw the strikes needed to get the outs. Some excellent concentration and base running put the Dodgers under pressure right from the start of the game the guy's put it together when needed today hopefully we can do the same in the Grand Final against the Lions Gold side. There have been some close games between the Rebels and Lions Gold and i don't see the Grand Final being any different.
