1st Grade played a great game to watch, and it was also great to see the first grade team fighting hard to the end.
The boys were down early and although it was going to be hard to overcome great Wildcat pitching we found our great team spirit and we started to string a few hits together. Yet another home run to Nathan Young saw us close the gap on the Wildcats lead. Todd Bowden led the way with the bat with 3 hits.
Everyone fielded exceptionally well, and with the scores locked at 5 all in the bottom of the 9th, Pat Maat capitalised on a Matt Smith double, to knock in the winning run with a single. Well done boys, great way to show everyone why we are the reigning premiers winning 6-5.
