3rd Grade's game against Wildcats was very nearly called off due to the terrible weather, but the rain stopped and after tremendous ground maintenance by Craig Booth, the rest of the day was able to be played. 3rd Grade had a good start to the game leading 4 nil early on. The second dig wasn’t as great as the Wildcats batters capitalised on errors scoring 7, and even though Craig Booth worked hard on the mound the damage had been done.
There were too many runners left on base and the last 3 digs saw both sides only score 2 runs each. With singles to Zac Dawes and Brad Marmara, and doubles to Doug Smith, Peter Eden and Andrew Mc Alpine, we just couldn't get the runners over the plate and we went down 9-6.
