Even though 2nd Grade's rookie coach Matt Cashman spent most of this game pacing about and pulling his hair out, the game ended up coming down to the wire.
After being down 8-2 until the last innings, Cashman told his boys to get out there and hit, and hit they did. With singles to Kurt Eden (2), Scott Sharman, Zac Dawes, Andrew Mc Alpine and doubles to Dillon McMaster, Paul Woolven, Craig Booth, Zac Dawes and Andrew Mc Alpine, the boys pulled it together and after a 3 run bomb to Nathan ( all the girls love him) Young a miracle comeback looked inevitable. Unfortunately, the boys fell one run short going down 7-8 but definitely made a game of it and should be congratulated for digging deep when things looked grim.
