A close game that went right down to the last play with the Rebels winning 6-4.
Ray Verdon showed " age shall not weary them" pulling out a top rate performance in the field and with the bat. Jackson Smith was a stand out with the sticks, getting 3 for 3 with a double under his belt, closely followed by lead off batter Michael Binks who picked up a single, double, triple and a magical catch on the left field fence.
With the score at 6-4 and the winning run at the plate, the boys stayed strong. After a base hit to right field, the base runner rounded third heading home, and from a relay throw from right fielder Blake Cavanaugh, through 1st baseman, Andrew Clyburn to the glove of Catcher Brad Marmara, tagged the runner out before he got home and the game was sealed for the team.
