This year we are lucky enough to field two teams in 5th grade, one know as the Royals and the other Rebels.
The Royals took first blood 13-7 in what is sure to be an intense rivalry between the two teams.
A pleasing aspect of the game was the debuts for the club of a number of players who had not played the game before. Another feature of the contest was the senior debut of a number of Rebel juniors Beau Denton, Kieran MaCarthy, Ben Hastings, Josh and Michael Peterson. Darren Peterson, John Dare, Rod Travis and Alan Faher all batted well for Rebels with Trent Lyon, Natalie Smith and Michael Peterson all batting well for Royals. Strong pitching from Russell Sheaves and Wayne Turner was well supported by Darren Kellard at catcher.
